Central Asia, Tibet, ca. 19th century CE. A thin leather belt that is decorated with 9 slender brass panels. Each riveted panel features mirrored curvilinear motifs that are incised with decorative striations as well as concave circular bezels in which inlays were once present. An iron buckle secured to one end securely holds the perforated strap end. Lucite display stand for photography purposes only. Size: 39.375" L x 0.6" W (100 cm x 1.5 cm)
