Central Asia, Tibet, ca. late 19th to early 20th century CE. A cast bronze incense burner with a delicate, openwork lid. The lid has a diminutive ring handle and a swirling pattern of curls and spirals set between two bands of tiny incised lines above a ring rim. This fits neatly over the undecorated, bulging body, which has four handles, each with an iron ring, evenly spaced just above its flanged shoulder. Size: 2.9" W x 3.45" H (7.4 cm x 8.8 cm)
