Eastern Europe, Russia, Imperial Period, ca. 19th to early 20th century CE. A fine collection of 6 teaspoons made of gilded silver, with filigree and cloisonne enamel on their backs and handles. All have different motifs, each a variation of flowers and vines. All are vibrant and multicolored, with different shades of blue, green, purple, white, cream, and red. Each is stamped with at least one or more maker's marks on the neck; however, the marks are unclear and difficult to discern. An elegant collection! All are relatively the same size: 4" L x 0.875" W (10.2 cm x 2.2 cm); quality of silver: 78.8% to 90%; total weight of all: 100 grams

Provenance: ex-collection of James Farmer, Maryland, USA, collected from major galleries and auction houses between 1995 and 2005
