Description:

Near East, Persia/Iran, ca. 19th century CE. A pretty fired porcelain tile, glazed and painted with green-outlined motifs shown two birds on a background of what appears to be flowers and plants. The birds are fairly abstract, with large tails that suggest that they are peacocks. Blue and purple dots give further color to the three thin lines forming the border of the round tile. In the upper part of the tile is a round perforation, for mounting it on a wall. Size: 8.75" W (22.2 cm)
