Central Asia, India, ca. late 19th century to early 20th century CE. A pair of charming carved wood corbels in the form of prancing horses, painted red and yellow with some small areas of remaining green details in the lower profile areas. Each horse stands with its front hooves perched on a long scroll, giving them the appearance of being rocking horses or from a carousel ride. Each comes mounted on a separate custom stand. Size of largest: 1.35" L x 9.2" W x 12.1" H (3.4 cm x 23.4 cm x 30.7 cm); height on stand: 13.25" (33.7 cm)
