Central Asia, Nepal, ca. 19th century CE. A fascinating hand-carved votive wooden figure with a massive head relative to its body, standing on crouched legs and with its arms and hands raised to the sides of its face. The face is formed of shallowly excavated eyes and mouth, with a long, thin nose in the center of it. Size: 1.6" W x 4.35" H (4.1 cm x 11 cm); 5.05" H (12.8 cm) on included custom stand.
