Description:

Native American, Upper Midwestern United States, Wisconsin, Fond du Lac, Winnebago tribe, ca. 19th to early 20th century CE. A hand-sewn leather bag with a drawstring cinch, handle strap, and decorative tassels with glass trade beads. The beads are opaque hues of blue, green, yellow, and white, each threaded along the tassels. The leather is delicate and pieces from this pouch have been gathered together and displayed in a modern Riker case to preserve this artifact. Size (pouch): 6" L x 5" W (15.2 cm x 12.7 cm); (case): 14.3" L x 8" W (36.3 cm x 20.3 cm)
