North Africa, Morocco to Algeria, Amazigh / Tuareg Berber culture, ca. late 19th to early 20th century CE; Central Asia, Tibet, ca. 19th to early 20th century CE. A Tibetan hammered copper horn with openwork foliate rings around the exterior. Also included is a Moroccan Berber iron khanjar dagger with a brass sheath and a wooden handle bearing protruding quillons. Size (horn): 14.75" L x 1.5" W x 1.75" H (37.5 cm x 3.8 cm x 4.4 cm); (khanjar w/ sheath): 3.25" L x 1" W x 15" H (8.3 cm x 2.5 cm x 38.1 cm)

  • Condition: Horn missing mouthpiece as shown, with damage to chain strand. Khanjar sheath has loose wooden lining, splitting along lower tip with loss to tip cap, some abrasions, and tearing along upper periphery, with abrasions on blade, and chipping to pommel. Each piece with nice patina.
