Description:

** A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this lot will benefit The Fowler Museum at UCLA **

Mexico, 19th century CE. This is a female doll made of heavy, solid reddish brown pottery, with fully articulated limbs and a chubby, childlike face capped with wavy, molded hair. The doll was certainly made to be dressed and has grooves in its feet that suggest it was also made to stand on something. An interesting find for a doll collector or someone interested in antique toys. Size: 4.75" W x 13.4" H (12.1 cm x 34 cm)

Provenance: ex-Morgan Collection, Santa Monica, CA.
