New World, Mexico, Spanish Colonial style, ca. 19th century CE. A large, antique nicho that has been transformed with the addition of new glass into a beautiful china cabinet. With two half columns framing the door and a series of iron loops and handles to hold the door in place, the piece has rustic charm. The front has a facade with a long wooden skirt that touches the floor and a simple pair of finials and triangular pediment at the top. The back is undecorated and made to be placed against a wall, standing on two narrow legs. Size: 16" L x 38.5" W x 61.25" H (40.6 cm x 97.8 cm x 155.6 cm)

  • Condition: Wood has surface wear from age and handling, including some cracks from drying over time. Piece is intact, with only loss being a tiny part of one side of one finial. Metal components (hinges, knob, loops for locking) all have nice patina. Glass is new.Old losses to flat terminus. Minor surface scratches. Flute works beautifully.

After a rash of teen suicides on the island, Donick thought about how he and his friends got through their teen years. Music.
