Japan, Middle of the 19th century CE. Group of 22 woodblock prints all graphically showing sexual positions and situations. Some are deliberately humorous, most are quite serious and show the openness of sex in the Japanese culture of the 1850's. Two are matted, others are loosely arranged in cellophane envelopes. Sizes: 5" x 3-5/8" for most (12.7 cm x 9.2 cm), largest a double panel measuring 9-3/4" x 7-1/4" (24.8 cm x 18.4 cm).
