Native American/First Nations, Canada and Greenland, Inuit people, ca. 19th to early 20th century CE. A handsome hunting club carved entirely of whalebone. The elongated cylindrical club has a tapered handle and a wider surface for striking prey. The surface has a rich creamy color with flecks of black and has been polished smooth. Size: 1.2" W x 9.8" H (3 cm x 24.9 cm); 11" H (27.9 cm) on included custom stand.
