Northwest Coast, northwestern Canada to western Alaska, ca, last half 19th century CE. Fine pair of Inuit / Native Peoples snow googles used to reduce the glare of the sun off the white arctic snow. Carved mammal bone of rounded form, carved nose guard, long thin slits, twin suspension holes. Would have been held in place using leather cords. Size: 5.5" W x 1.5" H (14 cm x 3.8 cm); 8.5" H (21.6 cm) on included custom stand.
