Description:

Southeast Asia, Indonesia, Borneo, Kalimantan region, ca. late 19th to early 20th century CE. A fine gathering of four baskets with form-fitting lids. One ovoid basket has a simple form with a light-brown color and a removable lid. A second ovoid basket bears a similar form but with several dark stripes coursing across the body and lid. The largest ovoid vessel is beige in color and has a single dark oval atop the attached lid. The tallest, circular basket features dark fibers forming a radiant pattern atop the lid as well as a register of repeating diamonds on the body. Size of largest (circular basket): 4.75" W x 3.6" H (12.1 cm x 9.1 cm).
