Central Asia, India, ca. 19th century CE. A graceful silver bottle with a silver stopper attached to it by a chain. The body is a flattened sphere with ornate repousse decoration in registers around it - arches, leaves, and flowers - standing atop a short disc foot. Above this is a tall neck that slowly widens to a flaring mouth; the stopper, which is capped by a tall finial and decorated with repousse flowers, fits neatly into the lip of the rim. Size: 3.75" W x 8.5" H (9.5 cm x 21.6 cm); silver is 70% pure; 259.5 grams
