A colorful painting on fabric, perhaps silk, that depicts a Mughal elephant royal procession before a white palace with blue skies above, the ruler sitting in a luxurious golden chair carried upon an elaborately adorned elephant, the sacred animal bedecked with jewels and enveloped with luxurious textiles, accompanied by a procession of men in turbans, long robes, and sashes who carry banners and weapons for the occasion. All is surrounded by a floral-patterned border in salmon pink and silver on a black ground. Size: 10.5" L x 6.875" W (26.7 cm x 17.5 cm); 11.875" L x 8.25" W (30.2 cm x 21 cm) framed
