South Asia, India, ca. late 19th to early 20th century CE. A large, delightful papier mache storage container made for storing cool food. Its surface is painted with a warm brown hue and decorated with inlaid mirrors and incised geometric motifs. The lid is shaped like a ziggurat and has a loop at its top. Size: 13.5" L x 16.5" W x 29.75" H (34.3 cm x 41.9 cm x 75.6 cm)
