Description:

Western Europe, France, ca. second half of the 19th century CE. A lovely example of a French double-barrel percussion pistol with a pair of hammers and a corresponding pair of triggers. The hand-carved wooden handle is bisected on the top with a curved iron panel, and the bottom of the lock box has an attached semicircular trigger guard. A maker's mark on one barrel reads, "St. Etienne" beneath a crown insignia, and both barrels bear an encircled "ODE" mark. Size: 8.375" L (21.3 cm)
