**Originally Listed At $400**

Western Europe, France, ca. late 19th to early 20th century CE. A beautiful example of a copper alloy crown meant to adorn the head of a religious santo figure. The crown is decorated with concentric registers of repousse stippling along the bottom, a quartet of abstract winged angels standing around the lower periphery, 4 bisected vine-like motifs that form the swelling upper section, and four petite hearts radiating outwards beneath a vertical crucifix set with a faceted red glass inlay. A curved panel arching across the head opening features a narrow perforation meant for securing the crown with a pin atop the head of a santo figure. Size: 4.1" W x 6.375" H (10.4 cm x 16.2 cm)
