A collection of artifacts from Fort Fetterman mounted and nicely arranged in a wood frame under glass with a brass plaque - ready to display! Both military and civilian articles are represented: buttons from clothing and soldier uniforms, a porcelain doll head, a clay pipe, brass hooks from US regulation knapsacks, an iron keyhole, bottle caps, teeth, a brass shoulder epaulette, and an unknown bone tool - possibly a handle. Fort Fetterman is a historic military outpost located in Wyoming, USA, established in 1867. It was a critical supply point for military campaigns against Native American tribes during the late 19th century and trade networks on the frontier. Size of brass epaulette: 3.5" L x 3" W (8.9 cm x 7.6 cm); frame: 16.75" L x 7.5" W (42.5 cm x 19 cm)
