A rare and sizable wooden chest of rectangular form with a trapezoidal lid hinged on one side and 2 long horizontal feet near each shorter end. The front, side, and top panels are skillfully covered in 14th-century vellum pages of Latin hymns, penned with both the letter-batarde lyrics and their corresponding bars of music in hues of black and red.
