Western Europe, ca. 19th century CE. A charming, mold-made pottery figure of an enthroned Virgin Mary nursing baby Jesus. Dressed in a billowing robe and gentle veil with breasts exposed, the Madonna sits on an elaborate throne with 2 large arm rests adorned with vegetal motifs. The sweet child lays across her lap and tugs at her breast, as she uses one hand to nurse him and the other to support him. Size: 2.1" W x 2.8" H (5.3 cm x 7.1 cm); 3.7" H (9.4 cm) on included custom stand.
