Continental Europe, late 19th century. Untitled still life, oil on canvas, n.d. A beautiful still life painting mounted in an attractive decorative frame. The composition includes (counter clockwise beginning at upper left): a tall silver vessel, a bowl of luscious apples, a glass bottle with a cork stopper, a large round loaf of boule bread, and in the foreground, a plate of delectable rolls and pastries. This lovely arrangement is rendered in a painterly manner and glows in soft, golden light, making for a dramatic contrast with the dark interior setting. Size (sight): 23.25" W x 19.125" H (59.1 cm x 48.6 cm); (canvas): 23.75" W x 19.5" H (60.3 cm x 49.5 cm); (frame): 26.5" H (67.3 cm); 22.5" H (57.2 cm) on included custom stand.

- Condition: Normal wear commensurate with age. Verso of canvas has darkened with age. Pigments have been tested via x-ray florescence and are consistent with the period.
