Description:

Europe, Neoclassical, 19th century. A mesmerizing carved stone bust of a female, perhaps an ancient Greek or Roman goddess, her visage presenting large, thick lidded, wide open eyes, an arched browline leading to a naturalistic nose, slightly parted full lips, nicely delineated nasolabial folds, and a rounded chin - with an elegant neck as well as a drawn back coiffure that is rolled back along the hairline and with long locks that resolve in a chignon just above the nape of her neck - her wavy tresses finely delineated. Size: 6.75" W x 7.65" H (17.1 cm x 19.4 cm); 12.1" H (30.7 cm) on included custom stand.
