Artist F.C. Turner (Francis Calcraft Turner - British, 1772-1846). Engraved by James Mackrel and G. Hunt. "Moore's Tally Ho! To the Sports - The Noble Tips - Tipperary Glory - The Marquis at Home". Published J. W. Moore on February 12th 1863. "Dedicated by Permission to the Most Noble The Marquis of Waterford by his Lordship's Obedient Servant J.W Moore". An original antique engraving with stunning hand coloring after a composition by F. C. Turner, a London painter who specialized in equestrian portraits and horse race scenes. Born in 1795, Turner exhibited at the Royal Academy, the British Institute, and various London galleries from 1810 to 1846. A wonderful piece for anyone fascinated by all things equestrian! Size: image measures 17" L x 24" W (43.2 cm x 61 cm); sheet measures 21" L x 26.5" W (53.3 cm x 67.3 cm)
