Southeast Asia, Borneo, Dayak, Ngaju peoples, ca. late 19th to early 20th century CE. A fine nude male charm figure skillfully carved from a single piece of wood and painted in a hue of deep brown. His hands placed upon his abdominal area, the fascinating character stands atop an integral plinth with his thick legs slightly parted, revealing his clearly delineated genitalia. Flanked by a pair of large ears, his delicate visage, with slender eyes and an open mouth bearing gritted teeth, sits upon his sharp shoulders. A cap-like coiffure or headdress adorns the top of his head. Size: 1" W x 6" H (2.5 cm x 15.2 cm); 7" H (17.8 cm) on included custom stand.
