East Asia, China, Qing Dynasty, ca. late 19th to early 20th century CE. A pretty porcelain jar fit with a hemispherical lid and all adorned with intricately painted blue-on-white decoration of an elaborate floral motif. Sitting upon a ring-form base, the vessel presents impressively thin walls that curve upwards to a slender rim over a deep basin, while the neatly fitted lid is crowned by a conical handle. Size: 4.1" Diameter x 4.7" H (10.4 cm x 11.9 cm)

Provenance: private Friday Harbor, Washington, USA collection, acquired prior to 2000
