Description:

Central Asia, Afghanistan, Pakistan, or nearby, ca. 19th century CE. A heavy, leaded bronze jewelry mold, hexagonal, with a deeply stamped Star of David motif at its center. The symbol is surrounded by more lightly stamped floral and fruit motifs. It became associated with Judaism sometime during the Middle Ages, appearing in Kabbalistic grimoire, for example. Size: 1.9" W (4.8 cm)
