Southeast Asia, Burma (Myanmar), ca. late 19th to mid-20th century CE. A pair of nickel-silver opium or tobacco pipes with stoneware bowls molded to the stem as the receptacle, decorated with impressed and pinched geometric patterning. Along the length of the stems are nickel filigree bands and a coiled wire around the mouthpiece. Size: 11.5" L x 1.5" W (29.2 cm x 3.8 cm)

  • Condition: Clay bowls show little signs of use and may be newer replacements. Surface wear commensurate with age and use on stems with black patina and toning on each. Larger bowl is removable from stem. Some chips to clay, otherwise intact and very good.
