Description:

Southeast Asia, Burma (Myanmar), ca. 19th century CE. A lovely bronze sculpture of a deity standing atop an altar comprised of an openwork lotus flower on a 4-legged pedestal and a rectangular plinth with a white and blue textile periphery. The slender god wears a lengthy cape and a top bun as a sizeable openwork halo of a floral motif with a tapering finial crowns the head. Size: 1.8" W x 5.4" H (4.6 cm x 13.7 cm)

Provenance: private Denver collection, USA, by inheritance before 2000 from the Harry Tammen Family collection, former owner of the Denver Post
