South America, Bolivia, ca. 19th century CE. A nice ensemble of hand-carved wooden loom sticks, all four with decorative finials - one with a pair of zoomorphic perhaps camelid forms standing in profile, a second with a pair of birds perched atop, the third with abstract upraised paws, and the fourth with what appear to be either paws or crests of birds. In addition, the U-shaped termini and handles are incised with lively stylized geometric motifs. Custom stand. Size: tallest measures 9" H (22.9 cm), 10.25" H (26 cm) on stand, stand measures 11.125" W (28.3 cm)
