Description:

North America, United States, ca. 19th century CE. A fine side knife used on the American frontier with a handle carved from a curved section of deer antler. The forged-steel blade features a single edge opposite a thick spine as well as a shallow curve just in front of the point, and a stocky brass hand guard sports a pair of protruding quillons. Nice patina has formed across both the blade and handle to make this an attractive example of early American weaponry! Size: 1.625" W x 11.9" H (4.1 cm x 30.2 cm); (blade): 7.8" L (19.8 cm)
