Description:

North America, United States, ca. 1880s CE. A buckskin vest featuring fringe and rivet decorations that may have been part of an iconic costume for a Wild West show! Brass rivet studs spell out "US" and "PR." The studs are placed along the hems of the front panels up to the collar. Red stars are painted onto the lower front, and "1887 89" is faintly painted into the front left panel. A strip of fringe extends across the back creating a V shape. This is a western frontier style piece of clothing which was likely used for a performance like Bill Cody's Wild West Show! Size: 24" L x 24" W (61 cm x 61 cm)
