Description:

North America and Western Europe, United States and England, ca. late 19th to early 20th century CE. A fine set of three hammered pewter platters from England and the United States, each with a rounded base and a shallow basin surrounded by a wide rim. The smallest platter has two maker's marks on the bottom, one a bald eagle, and another with the faded word "BOSTON." The second platter has "MT" stamped on the topside of the rim. The largest has a maker's mark with an encircled crucifix and another with the faded word "LONDON" on the underside of the basin. Size of largest ("LONDON" maker's mark): 16.5" Diameter (41.9 cm).
