Native American, Southwestern United States, Four Corners region, Navajo, ca. 1970s CE. An attractive necklace of wearable form that is constructed with dozens of slender turquoise beads. The main body of the necklace is comprised of 3 strands that are connected to a pair of triangular Spondylus shell plaques, each exuding vibrant hues of orange and white. The necklace narrows to a single strand near the terminals, and the necklace clasps together via a pair of French hooks. Size (necklace): 26" L (66 cm); (shell pendant): 1.1" W x 1.625" H (2.8 cm x 4.1 cm)
