A hand carved cedarwood wall panel in the form of a raven or eagle atop a second figure with bared teeth. The totemic carvings symbolize powerful animals that played important roles in momentous myths and oral histories. The formline style used here is characteristic of indigenous art from the Pacific Northwest, and the verso is unsigned but dated "1953." Size: 13.5" L x 4.5" W (34.3 cm x 11.4 cm)
