Description:

** A portion of the proceeds from the sale of this lot will benefit The Fowler Museum at UCLA **

Mexico, ca 1950. What a fun piece of folk art! Made of hand-modeled clay in the form of a band stand, with a 7 piece Mexican Mariachi band on one level, beneath is a open area with small fruits on metal wire stands, on the top, 2 figures peer over the roof to see the band, risking life and limb! Wonderful bright shades of yellow, green, blue, red and white.
