Western Europe, France, Paris, ca. 1932 CE. A first edition of the oversized folio "Tissus Coptes du Musee du Louvre" by R. Pfister and published in 1932 by Ernst Henri and Presses Moderne. Covered in hardboard with brown cloth, tan paper, and a string tie, the unbound collection is comprised of 16 pages of French text followed by 48 plates of stunning examples of Coptic fabrics from the Louvre, all tipped on to a printed grayish-brown cardboard backing and each accompanied by a tissue guard printed with French text. Size: 15.3" L x 1.4" W x 11.5" H (38.9 cm x 3.6 cm x 29.2 cm)
