Northern Europe, United Kingdom, Birmingham, ca. 1930s CE. A lovely sterling silver tea service set comprised of two teapots, a milk pitcher, and a sugar bowl. The teapots feature wooden handles on the body and lid. Each piece is stamped on the exterior with hallmarks and the maker's mark: "S. B & S LTD" for S. Blanckensee & Sons, silversmiths of Birmingham. Each vessel has a tall, simple, and angular profile; characteristic of the Art Deco style. A fine and elegant tea set! Size of wider teapot: 9.5" L x 4.5" W x 5.5" H (24.1 cm x 11.4 cm x 14 cm); quality of silver: 93% to 94.15%; total weight in grams: 1270.06
