Latin America, Mexico, 1921 CE. An antique ex-voto depicting one Allabase Nicolas Gomes sick in bed at the left, and two kneeling sisters praying to Saint Nicholas for his recovery. Note that Saint Nicholas is accompanied by three children bathing in a barrel as Nicholas is the patron saint of children. The narrative translates, "In the month of October of the year 1921, Allabase Nicolas Gomes was sick with an internal illness and Felisa Pons (sp) and Luisa Rosas appealed to Saint Nicholas for his recovery. To repay him they dedicate the present on October 6, 1921." Size: 9-1/2" x 7-5/8".
