United States, ca. early 20th century CE. A cigarette case made from a sterling silver frame and tortoiseshell. The push clasp is functional, and the silver sides are relief decorated with scrolling ivy, and the interior contains elastic straps. The interior along the silver hinge is stamped with several marks, a possible serial or model number "346", the purity "985," a maker or other hallmark "LM" & "STERLING." Size: 3.2" L x 2" W (8.1 cm x 5.1 cm); silver quality: 93.65%
