Native American, United States, Archaic to Woodland period, ca. 8500 to 500 CE (10500 to 1500 BP). A collection of 18 hand-knapped stone projectile points and 1 knife from across North America that display a great variety of forms. Some of the identifiable projectile points in this gathering are: Palmer, Garth Slough, Yadkin, Candy Creek, Halifax, Nolichucky, Frazier, Dalton, Cotaco Creek, Copena, Opossum Bayou, Wheeler Excurvate, Hebron Turkeytail, Benjamin, and St. Charles. The knife is a Friday bi-face with a triangular and excurvate blade. Most of the stones are a matte chert or quartzite. Size of largest point: 3.125" L x 1" W (7.9 cm x 2.5 cm); case: 10" L x .75" W x 12" H (25.4 cm x 1.9 cm x 30.5 cm)
