Description:

Native American, Archaic to Woodland period, ca. 8500 BCE to 1800 CE. A fine collection of 19 knapped chert and obsidian stone projectile points and drill tool displayed in a modern case. The largest of the group is a clovis point with a classic lanceolate point with a flattened cross section and fluting on both faces. The rest are a variety of type, mostly triangular with side notches and fins, and a single awl or drill bit with a tapered tip. Size of clovis point: 2" L x 0.8" W (5.1 cm x 2 cm); case: 14.5" L x 8" W (36.8 cm x 20.3 cm)

Provenance: private Lumberton, Texas, USA collection, acquired before 2010
