Western Europe, ca. 18th to 19th century CE. A lovely cast-lead standing figurine of a pope or saint dressed in floor-length robes and capped by a pointed headdress. The hollow figure holds a long cross-shaped staff, known as a papal ferula, in his left hand, while grasping another object in his right hand which he holds to his shoulder. Size: 0.75" W x 2.5" H (1.9 cm x 6.4 cm)
