Southeast Asia, Thailand, ca. 18th to early 19th century CE. An intriguing collection of 5 silver currency pieces known as bullet money or bullet coins, fashioned from silver ingots bent into rounded shapes, with the thick part bearing stamped marks including the chakra wheel and trident, attributed to King Rama I's reign (1782 - 1809). These coins were esteemed for their weight, valued using the bhat (tical) unit of measurement. Size of largest: 0.58" Diameter (1.5 cm); silver quality: 94.5% to 98.1%; total combined weight: 49.8 grams.
