Europe, United Kingdom, London, ca. 1781 CE, made by Walter Brind, active second half of the 18th century CE. A beautiful, well preserved mug, made from sterling silver, of a baluster form with a scroll-shaped handle and acanthus mount. Inscribed on its face are the letters "CCL" in flowing cursive surrounded by a narrow border of laurel leaves. On the underside are stamps for London, sterling, the year, and the silversmith. Size: 6.15" W x 6.25" H (15.6 cm x 15.9 cm); 0.63 kg
