Western Europe, probably England or France, ca. 18th century CE. A gorgeous 69.47% gold ring of wearable form presenting a hand-carved brown chalcedony intaglio within the form-fitting bezel. Incised atop the surface of the chalcedony are two figures holding one forearm of the opposite figure in a handshake-like gesture, perhaps in a manner of welcoming or acceptance.
