Northern Europe, The Netherlands, ca. 18th century CE. A gorgeous glazed porcelain plate that is embellished with a beautiful floral pattern. The dish has a small applied ring foot and a shallow basin. The opaque white glaze has a cobalt blue underglaze that creates the patterns. Around the lip is a yellow glaze that contrasts nicely with the blue hues. The wide rim boasts swirling vine and leaf motifs. The recessed tondo has a floral arrangement painted in a fan shape across half of the surface. A lovely piece of Dutch artistry which was heavily influenced by Chinese porcelain styles.
