Burma, South Africa and Canada, contemporary. Important and quite stunning star sapphire ring of large Burmese deep blue stone (from the Mogok mine in Burma (Myanmar)) set into 18kt white gold. Natural (not heat treated) cabochon star sapphires are both more scarce and more expensive than are the majority of sapphires that come from Ceylon (Sri Lanka) and features a 6 point star asterism, which is highly visible under direct light. Stone weighs 7.49 carats with dimensions of 9.97mm by 8.92mm by 6.96mm. Stone is set into custom made white gold band set with 4 fully faceted round brilliant cut diamonds. The larger ones measure 1.70 mm each, while the smaller ones measure 1.10 each, the diamonds are VS1 Clarity, and are of E-F Color.
