Southeast Asia, Thailand, Ayutthaya Period, ca. 17th to 18th century CE. A cast-bronze figure of Buddha standing with flowing vestments atop an integral rectangular plinth. Buddha bends both arms at his sides with palms facing outwards and has rounded shoulders that taper to a slender neck. His visage exhibits downcast eyes with puffy lids beneath gently arching brows, flared nostrils, full lips with a delineated philtrum, and tall ears with elongated lobes, all beneath a coiffure with corkscrew nodules and a protruding ushnisha. Size: 3.625" W x 13.1" H (9.2 cm x 33.3 cm)
